Attack Stack

$15.00

The Attack Stack is designed to provide feedback to a golfer about the vertical contact of the putter on the golf ball.

For most putter designs, to achieve efficient contact with the vertical center of the putter, the putter should be between 5 and 8 millimeters off the ground.  The three Attack Stack chips provide feedback concerning the putter height at impact.

Setup: Stack the chips with the red chip on the bottom, the green chip in the middle, and the white chip on top.

Drill:  Place the Attack Stack 3-chip stack in the position of a golf ball to be putted.  Address the Attack Stack like any other putt and attempt to clip the white chip off the top, leaving the green chip showing and the red chip under the green.  If the player successfully clips the green chip and leaves the other two undisturbed, then the putter was between 5 and 8 millimeters above the ground, which is the objective.

The Attack Stack can be combined with a “tee gate drill,” which addresses horizontal center contact on the putter.  Together, the two drills help the player develop efficient contact both vertically and horizontally, which will lead to skill in both speed and distance control.
