Description
The Twister Stick is designed to provide the player feedback about the putter face orientation to help the player develop the skill of “Face Awareness”. It serves as a magnifying glass of the face. The green and red rectangles on each end are reference points to show if the face is square, open, or closed to the target line.
The Twister Stick can be used for both right and left-handed putters by simply moving the included wire clip to either side of the stick. See the installation instruction video.
At setup, the Twister Stick should be square to the desired start line and parallel to the putter face. The green and red rectangles on each end should be even and with the green rectangle on top of the red.
Because the putting stroke is a circular motion, at the top of the backstroke, the green rectangle should be further away from the target than the red rectangle because there will be some face rotation and the face opens relative to the start line. Likewise, at the end of the stroke, the natural face rotation will result in the green rectangle being closer to the target than the red rectangle because of the natural face rotation closing the face relative to the target line.
